Bad Driving Habits to Avoid

When you hear the term "distracted driving" the first thing you think of is texting and driving. But, while texting and driving is one of the most dangerous distracted driving habits, there are more you should be aware of. These habits include:

  1. Eating or drinking and driving is another habit many of us are guilty of. If you drop your food you are sure to take your attention off of the road, and that spells danger.
  2. Riding with passengers can also cause a big distraction while driving. Having to watch children in the backseat or having loud passengers increases the odds of you crashing.
  3. If you have an infotainment system in your car refrain from playing it too loudly or fiddling with it while driving.
  4. Don't drive when you're drowsy. If you start to feel like you're going to fall asleep while driving find a safe place to pull over and take a nap, if you're alone or ask someone else to drive.
